The classic PlayStation platformer is coming back with a new edition on the PS5. It launches on August 1st (a PS4 version will follow). “I’ve long wished that the game could be accessible to more people on modern systems,” creator Tokuro Fujiwara explained on the PlayStation Blog. “Now that the opportunity is here.”

Here we go again. Sony just announced Ragnarök for PC, but in a video and accompanying blog post it says the game will require a PlayStation Network account. It’s not clear why, and comes weeks after Sony had to back down and reverse plans for a PSN requirement for Helldivers 2 after blistering player reaction.
NetEase Games debuted a new trailer for Marvel Rivals during Sony’s State of Play. And while I know nobody can claim sole ownership over a 5v5 hero shooter, it’s getting really hard to ignore the Overwatch-ness of it all when all of the trailer’s action takes place in a techno-futuristic Japanese temple festooned with cherry blossoms. Maybe things will look different during the closed beta coming this July.
Close to a decade after it first launched, the interactive slasher movie Until Dawn is getting a remake that’s launching on both the PS5 and PC this fall. The first trailer gives a good sense of how much it has been updated for the new hardware. (Unfortunately it’s age-restricted, so you’ll have to click through to watch!)

But it sure looks cute. Infinity Nikki is described as an “open-world dress-up adventure game” which, well, that definitely is a genre. A beta is launching on the PS5 some time soon.
The chaotic action series is returning with Dynasty Warriors: Origins in 2025, though the announcement trailer doesn’t give much away.
Because the CG trailer didn’t give a good sense of what Concord is actually like. But now we know: it looks a lot like Apex Legends and Overwatch.
A year after acquiring Firewalk Studios, Sony is showing off our first good look the developer’s upcoming Concord. (We got a brief teaser trailer last year.) The clip serves as an introduction to this original sci-fi universe, which looks heavily inspired by Star Wars and the MCU. The 5v5 shooter is coming to both the PS5 and PC. Early access starts on August 23rd.
Earlier today Destiny 2 players were able to access The Final Shape expansion early through Sony’s PS5 cloud streaming service. Now Bungie has responded, confirming the leak and saying “it’s always extremely difficult when our team’s hard work is leaked early, but we are still excited for everyone to experience the full release on June 4th together.”
