For Cyber Monday, Walmart has knocked a cool $50 off the Switch 2 console bundle that includes a copy of Mario Kart World. Instead of paying $499 (already a savings of $30 compared to buying the $79 game separately), you now get the game for free at $449. This likely won’t last long.

If you need an alternative to quality family time over the next few days, Battletoads and Ninja Gaiden 2 have been added to the Switch’s NES app, while Bionic Commando and Kid Icarus are now in the Game Boy app. Both apps now also let you remap your controller using the in-game menu.
I’m deeply regretting skipping preorders for Analogue’s reimagined N64 console now that 8BitDo has updated its 64 Bluetooth controller with a new retro gray color scheme. At $45 it’s more expensive than the $40 black and white versions, but those colored buttons are hitting all my nostalgia buttons.
The mythical pokémon Zeraora has been almost impossible to obtain in the mainline games since it was first introduced in Ultra Sun / Ultra Moon. But that’s probably going to change next month when the monster’s new Mega Evolved form debuts in Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC.
Aspyr has shadow dropped Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on both Nintendo Switch consoles. For the first time, you’ll be able to play the 2013 game that rebooted the Tomb Raider franchise on the Nintendo Switch family of systems.
But if modern Lara with her modern video game conventions aren’t your thing, Aspyr has also released remastered versions of the classic Tomb Raider games as well.
0The company behind the Analogue Pocket is back with its latest game console, which plays N64 games in 4K.
Apropos of it being Monday, Nintendo has just shared a handful of new photos from its upcoming live-action The Legend of Zelda movie starring Bo Bragason and Benjamin Evan. The pics don’t tell us much about the movie’s story, but Zelda’s blue outfit suggests it’ll involve elements from the Breath of the Wild timeline.

Nintendo shared an overview video today for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, which comes out on December 4th on Switch and Switch 2. A lot of it looks like classic Metroid Prime, but the chatty companions worry me (and I’m not the only one).
A report from Kotaku notes that a recent Switch 2 update is causing problems. The 21.0.0 update adds some quality of life tweaks, but according to multiple posts on Reddit and elsewhere, the update has also apparently made some third-party docks stop working that even a full restart won’t fix. It’s unknown whether Nintendo intended the update brick users’ docks or if it was simply an accident.

There’s a new extended trailer for Pokémon Pokopia showing off more of the monsters you’ll encounter on your cozy island like Professor Tangrowth, Peakychu, and Smearguru. It’s all very cute, but the trailer also makes it clear that these pokémon are living in the wake of some kind of wild catastrophe.

Pokémon Pokopia is a Minecraft-like cozy game in which you play as a “Ditto that has taken the appearance of a human,” learning to build homes, farm crops, and other activities you wouldn’t expect a Ditto to do. If that sounds like your kinda game, it’ll be available on the Switch 2 next year.
Nintendo is going to release the first proper trailer for Super Mario Galaxy — the movie, not the game — on Wednesday at 9AM ET. You can probably expect to see an appearance from Yoshi.
Nintendo now has a website for that.
If you grew up playing the Super Nintendo and N64 on a beastly tube TV, you may appreciate Joel Hartlaub’s custom dock for the Switch 2. It features an integrated CRT screen, recessed hand grips with shoulder buttons hidden inside, and speakers that outperform those on Nintendo’s latest handheld.

The hack-and-slash title fills gaps in the story and finally gives Princess Zelda her due.

New Horizons is getting an update in January, so we decided to revisit our islands to prepare.

Nintendo released a new trailer today showing off more of the game and a very good Akira slide. As a huge fan of the first Metroid Prime, I can’t wait to check this game out.
Well today was supposed to be the day to talk about Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, the new hack and slash companion game to Tears of the Kingdom. However, the embargo Nintendo sent along was so restrictive, disallowing the discussion of “any story details” that The Verge has decided to hold our review until launch day November 6th. And we’re not the only ones.
Patent and Trademark Office director John A. Squires has ordered the 12,403,397 patent — often oversimplified to “summoning characters and making them fight” — to be reexamined, citing two older Konami and Nintendo applications that raise “a substantial new question of patentability.” This isn’t one of the patents in Nintendo’s ongoing legal battle with Palworld-creator Pocketpair.
