My Trump phone review is here. And with that, it’s time to wrap up the weekly coverage. I’m not entirely done with the T1 yet — I’m still trying to find out how many buyers have one, and how and where it’s made — but I’ll give the execs at Trump Mobile a break for a bit.

The T1 is a marketing stunt, not a serious phone.
The charming Ikko MindOne Pro isn’t all it’s shaped up to be.
Instead of revealing more about your iPhones and other devices by tearing them apart, this time iFixit is inside a Chinese battery factory. The video shows how the lithium polymer cells are manufactured and tested, long before they end up in your pocket.
The app, which allows you to track the shows and movies you’re watching, will no longer be available starting July 15th. In an update on its support page, TV Time’s developers say operating the free app “was no longer sustainable,” and that “there was not enough demand for a paid app.”
The Magic V6 is available to order now in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy. It’s officially priced at £1,999.99 / €2,299.99 (about $2,600), but Honor’s early offers slash hundreds off that price and throw in freebies like earbuds or tablets too.
All signs point to Samsung launching a wide version of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 this month, and now the company has released its first teaser. There are video versions too, all along similar lines teasing a “new shape” from the company.
The BlackBerry-esque Communicator has a nifty homescreen based on the minimalist Niagara Android launcher, a fingerprint sensor built into the space bar, and a removable back panel that certainly hints its battery might be easy to replace. It’s still on track to ship in Q4 for $499.
Ever since Google added magnetic Qi2 charging to the Pixel 10 line, we’ve been waiting for another Android manufacturer to follow suit. Motorola may be first, with the Edge 70 Max spotted on the Wireless Power Consortium certification database with MPP25 support — which should mean 25W charging with built-in magnets.
Yesterday we reported that images showing an iPhone 18 Pro drop test had leaked online following a data breach at one of Apple’s manufacturing partners — and now some video footage has appeared too. These clips, originally shared by an X account imitating the well known leaker EvLeaks, could be an early look at the upcoming iPhone flagship.

The full release of the upcoming budget phone is now set for July 7th, but Nothing has already revealed its design, with a dual camera, textured camera island, and a similar LED Glyph Bar to the Phone 4A.
You can now use Google Wallet to create an ID pass with your passport, check in for your flight, and then enroll in TSA PreCheck Touchless ID at participating airports. That means instead of showing physical or digital ID at airport security, you can walk through with the TSA’s “facial comparison” technology.
We’re still waiting on Google’s upcoming Gemini-powered autofill for Android, but for now Chrome can automatically fill forms across mobile and desktop using your Google Wallet data, including your Known Traveler Number, driver’s license, and passport. Autofill for flight details and vehicle information has also expanded to iOS and Android.
Days after confirming there won’t be a new budget CMF-branded phone because of RAMageddon, Nothing has started teasing… a new budget Nothing-branded phone. We’re not sure how the economics work there, but it certainly looks like the Phone 4B is on the way, presumably cheaper than the midrange Phone 4A.

A new look and an upgraded telephoto aren’t enough to make this a mainstream contender.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says that the next version of Apple’s ultra-slim device could arrive in spring 2027, echoing a previous report from The Information. Apple is reportedly working to improve the iPhone Air’s battery life and may add an ultrawide camera.
We’ve had unboxings, hands-ons, and teardowns, but Bloomberg is the first publication to give the T1 Phone a detailed review. It might be kinder than you expect — Verge alumnus Chris Welch admits the specs aren’t bad — but still reaches the obvious conclusion: “It’s easy to find a better phone than this.”
Pixel foldables get the new feature first, which is being added to Android 17 alongside native controller remapping, but only rolls out “in the coming months.” We’ve seen control options like this in other foldables before, but it’s welcome to see Google bake it into the OS.
