The dual-screen Zenbook Duo I reviewed in January was said to cost $2,399.99 with an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H. Now preorders are open, but a base model costs $2,499.99 and the 388H configuration I tested will be $2,699.99. Ouch.

The SXC-1 was teased at NAMM, but Casio launched its return to sampler glory in Japan this week for ¥39,930 (around $250), and preorders almost immediately sold out. There’s still no word on a US launch, but a video (in Japanese) does show off the features and workflow in detail.

Nearly a year-and-a-half after launching its bright green Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard - Xbox Edition, 8BitDo has announced a matching version of its wireless numpad/calculator. Even the 8BitDo Retro 18 Mechanical Numpad - Xbox Edition’s LCD display is green, and you can preorder it now for $44.99 with shipping starting on May 6th.

Nothing has launched Essential Voice, a dictation tool that tidies speech in more than 100 languages and sounds similar to a product Google launched earlier this month. It supports shortcuts for repeated words and phrases and speech-to-text translation. It’s currently only available for Phone (3) and Phone (4a) Pro, but Nothing hopes it’s the “beginnings of a new, voice-first interface” for its products.

Hori’s third-party USB-C camera for the Nintendo Switch 2 is somewhat lacking in the specs department — it only supports 480p resolution and an 85-degree viewing angle — but you’d be hard-pressed to find a cuter alternative for $29.99, its current sale price at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy.

Framework told PCWorld that its new eGPU kit will include the first OCuLink 8i connector in a laptop — meaning eight lanes and 128Gbps of PCI-Express connectivity, which means it should be even faster than Thunderbolt 5 and shouldn’t bottleneck a GPU as much as the four-lane solutions we’ve tried before.

You likely won’t see it on the pitch during this year’s World Cup (FIFA is a no-go for wearables during play). That said, it is another example of how professional athletes are integrating wearables into their training.

The original Atlas is 5mm thick, but the $129.99 Atlas Pro slims that down to just 1.9mm with a 1.1 mm sheet of tempered glass atop a 0.8 mm anti-slip base. The Osmo Mobile 8 Pro that DJI just announced in China for 899 CNY (around $132) carries forward a lot of the functionality of the last version including a telescoping extension rod and 10 hours of battery life. Its most compelling upgrade is a tiny touchscreen remote that magnetically docks to the gimbal.

The rechargeable Loop and Card trackers were rated to last six months before topping up, based on controlled tests. But after over a year of real-world testing, Chipolo “can now confidently say that the battery lasts up to one year on a single full charge, and in some cases even more.”

Fairphone reports its smartphone shipments grew by 42 percent in 2025, no mean feat when the rest of the industry has been fairly flat. I thought last year’s Fairphone 6 was a huge step forward in quality, and it’s a good time for its efforts to expand into the US.

Following a teaser earlier this month, Oppo’s Pad Mini Android tablet has launched in China. Its 8.8-inch OLED screen is larger than the iPad Mini’s, but the Pad Mini has slimmer 2.99mm bezels and is just 5.39mm thick. Pricing starts at 3,699 CNY (around $542) for 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Don’t call it duct-tape! Tyvek is a plastic that feels (and creases) like paper, similarly made of fibers bonded together. I have a wallet made of the stuff. The bag has dedicated pockets for Framework’s Expansion Cards, screwdriver, and up to a 13-inch laptop. The $39 sleeve comes in silver or black.

The Framework Laptop 16 is the most modular laptop ever made — but we’ve never been huge fans of the uneven and occasionally creaky spacers that let you shift the keyboard and touchpad left and right. Here are new one-piece versions. The touchpad might feel nicer now that it’s haptic, too! Waiting to hear the price on these.

It’s even bigger than Framework’s existing 2.5Gbps expansion card, and will definitely stick out the side of your machine. But it’s fast! (Framework gave up on foldable Ethernet ports when it turned out their internals were too chunky, BTW.) The company isn’t yet saying how much it’ll cost.

Amazon and Best Buy are selling the power bank for $95.99 ($24 off). I’ve been using it for a year, and it’s great for charging up to four devices — including a MacBook Pro — with up to 130W of combined output. It includes a retractable USB-C cable and another that doubles as a strap, while the small display helps you keep tabs on charge levels.
