Spending $24.99 on Corsair’s new ThermalProtect PCIe 5.1 600W 12V-2x6 cable could save you from having to replace a GPU that cost you well north of a grand. The cable’s built-in sensor monitors and detects when operating temperatures get unsafe, automatically shutting down the GPU before any melting or burning causing serious damage occurs.

Bungie’s latest first-person shooter, Marathon, is cheaper than usual at Newegg. The Steam PC version is $26.99 (originally $39.99) when you use the code EPF4475 at checkout. It’s a great deal on a game that quickly made an impression on me and many others on staff with difficult, yet rewarding gameplay.

Nvidia is launching a 12GB version of its RTX 5070 laptop GPU, to go along with the existing 8GB configuration. Nvidia’s blog post explains how this will actually help supply during the RAM shortage:

Leaked photos and videos have revealed a dual camera pro version of the Osmo Pocket 4 that DJI almost certainly won’t release in the US. But Xtra Techology, the company that sells “exact hardware copies” of many DJI products, teased its new dual camera Muse 2 Pro coming to the US that looks a lot like the leaked Osmo Pocket 4P.

Home Depot’s 12-foot Skelly is still a holiday headliner after nearly 7 years, but Spirit Halloween’s new Alien Xenomorph could be an even bigger draw for brave trick-or-treaters this year. The $450 animatronic features sounds inspired by the original film and multiple movements including an inner mouth that extends and screams.

Instead of taking the easy route with an emulator, Chris Hackmann, the modder behind the excellent Frog Boy Color, created a watch-sized Game Boy Color using the handheld’s original CPU. They’re my go-to item trackers for iPhone users because they tap into Apple’s vast Find My network; the second-gen model also offers expanded Bluetooth range, a louder speaker, and a newer ultra-wideband chip for more precise tracking.
