James Gunn has been coy about his plans for a follow-up to this year’s excellent Superman movie, but the writer / director is finally sharing some concrete news about what’s next for the Man of Steel. Gunn announced in an Instagram post today that the Superman sequel will be titled Man of Tomorrow and hit theaters on July 9th, 2027.

The Instagram post included a Jim Lee illustration of Superman and Lex Luthor in one of his Warsuits, which could mean we’ll be seeing David Corenswet fighting Nicholas Hoult in a ridiculous armored suit. And it seems as if DC Studios might have taken the original subtitle of its upcoming Supergirl feature and reworked it for the star of its new cinematic universe.
