Hot on the heels of its new AI-powered localization tools, Webtoon is partnering with AI avatar firm Genies to launch a new chatbot feature that will allow users to “talk” with characters from comics featured on the platform.

Deadline reports that WBD’s shareholders have “overwhelmingly” voted the sell the legacy studio to Paramount Skydance for $31 per share. Shareholders rejected a proposed compensation package for current CEO David Zaslav that could range from $500-800 million. But Zaslav could still wind up walking away with a lot of money because that vote was non-binding.
The latest poster for DC Studios’ upcoming Clayface movie — out October 23rd — from director James Watkins definitely leans into a kind of body horror that’s very different for the DCU. That kind of energy could be nice change of pace as the studio builds its new cinematic universe.

Though we knew Jon Bernthal was co-writing a Punisher-focused streaming special for Disney Plus, the streamer has just announced that it will premiere on May 12th, right as the second season of Daredevil: Born Again comes to a close.

Disney Plus’ latest superhero series is dropping at a time when the MCU feels like it’s moving back to square one.


We don’t even know who will own HBO Max this time next year, but the streamer is putting on a good face with this sizzle reel of new footage from upcoming seasons of House of the Dragon, Euphoria, Dune: Prophecy and Lanterns — all of which are coming in 2026.


Gorilla Grodd — DC Comics’ gorilla supervillain who has longstanding beef with the Flash — is set to be the focus of DC Crime, a new HBO Max “true” crime docuseries hosted by Daily Planet reporter Jimmy Olsen (Skyler Gisondo). No premiere date yet, but Tony Yacenda and Dan Perrault are attached to write / showrun the project.
Deadline reports that Netflix has tapped I Saw the TV Glow director Jane Schoenbrun to write and direct an adaptation of Charles Burns’ comic, Black Hole. Like the comic, the new series will tell the story of a town where a virus turns sexually active teens into strange monsters.
First, Yahya Abdul-Mateen showed up at the Fantastic Four: First Steps premiere, giving in-character interviews as Simon Williams — the star of Disney Plus’ upcoming Wonder Man miniseries. And now, Marvel has dropped a Wonder Man teaser that makes it seem like the show will be about an in-universe superhero movie reboot.
Soon, Disney Plus subscribers will have access to a “curated selection of content” on a new digital comics platform that’s being developed by Disney and Webtoon. In addition to thousands of classic titles from the Marvel, Star Wars, and 20th Century Studios brands, the platform will feature original Webtoon series.


While Marvel has released TV-MA projects before, the new trailer for Marvel Zombies makes it look like the series is really going to earn that rating by piling on as much (animated) blood and guts as possible.
Sony decided to go the live-action route for its upcoming Spider-Verse spinoff series starring Nic Cage’s Spider-Man Noir, but Deadline reports that the studio is in the early stages of developing an animated Spider-Punk feature co-written by Ajon Singh (Primetime) and Daniel Kaluuya, who will presumably reprise his role as Hobie Brown.




Disney Plus’ Eyes of Wakanda animated miniseries was slated to debut on August 6th, but the streamer has just bumped the show’s premiere up to August 1st and decided drop all four episodes at once.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse was slated to his theaters on June 4th 2027, but The Wrap reports that Sony has pushed the film’s debut back by a few weeks to June 25th.
Ahead of Invincible’s season 4 premiere next year, Variety reports that Amazon has renewed the series for fifth season that will dig even deeper into the story of Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) as he becomes one of the galaxy’s toughest superheroes.



DC Studios’ new Superman movie feels like a wild comic book that’s been brought to life.
The new trailer for Marvel’s Eyes of Wakanda Disney Plus series doesn’t give all that much away, but it does make the show look like it’s going to be cool as hell when it premieres on August 6th.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ latest trailer features some cool new shots of the team using their powers to take on Galactus and the Silver Surfer, but its most surprising reveal is the fact that Ben Grimm can apparently grow a beard made out of his rock-like carapace.
