A roughly $300 laptop? In this economy?

This is Acer’s Aspire Go 15 AG15-Q31P, a budget laptop built on Qualcomm’s just-announced Snapdragon C platform. Acer didn’t share its price or release date by the time I wrote these words, but Qualcomm says the platform unlocks roughly $300 laptops — despite RAMageddon. Corners cut, surely. The specs we know are here.

Looks OK from here, right? (Two USB-C and HDMI on the other side.)

Samsung Display’s 4K QD-OLED monitor panels just got brighter and faster.

“Samsung Display has successfully developed the first QD-OLED monitors to combine 4K resolution with a 360Hz refresh rate,” it claims, adding the 31.5-inch panel can also do 1080p at 680Hz and hit 600 nits brightness while maintaining true blacks (DisplayHDR True Black 600). That’s up from 240Hz and 500 nits previously.

Will there still be a desktop PC industry at this rate?

This 3.5-hour GamersNexus video makes me wonder. We knew tariffs, RAM prices, and oil prices were scaring buyers away, but it’s something different to watch a Cooler Master guy, standing in a warehouse full of unsold PC cases, dish for 30 minutes straight — or see how Thermal Grizzly’s thermal paste sales have cratered.

Anyone else scorch their Steam Controller puck, or is this a fluke accident?

Don’t want to spread any FUD, since it sounds like there’s more than meets the eye, but there’s been one report of the Controller’s exposed charging pins latching onto a magnetic watch strap (while that watch was also charging) in a potentially dangerous way. We’ve asked Valve. Let us know if you see something similar!

Lenovo is somehow selling a handheld with thousands of Nintendo games.

Retro Dodo reached out, and sure enough, Lenovo admits it’s behind the G02. I can understand wanting a piece of the retro handheld action, but surely Nintendo didn’t license Lenovo to distribute thousands of titles? Then again, Anbernic’s been getting away with similar year after year.
