Everyone, everywhere, all the time.

With the reveal of the Switch 2, Nintendo’s going all in on the console’s new and improved social features. During the Switch 2 direct presentation, the company showed off the how new “C” button will be used to connect with your friends with voice and video chat. While we didn’t get to test out those features in our hands-on coverage, Nintendo did release a new video that goes into detail on what to expect.

A24 is going back to the dysfunctional family horror well.

With Talk to Me, directors Danny and Michael Philippou gave us an enthralling taste of their ability to spin deeply disturbing horror tales. And the new trailer for their latest feature, Bring Her Back, makes it looks like they’re about to leave us all terrified once again when the film hits theaters on May 30th.

It’s almost Black Mirror time again.

We’re not far out from the next batch of Black Mirror episodes hitting Netflix on April 10th. And while we’ve already seen some of the new season, that latest trailer provides a more detailed rundown of the six episodes, including the direct sequel to “USS Callister.”

Final Destination: Bloodlines is bringing generational curses back.

Though Final Destination: Bloodlines could have been a full-on reboot, the movie’s new trailer makes it look a proper continuation of the franchise’s original story that will bring back the late Tony Todd’s William Bludworth when it hits theaters on May 16th.

Alison Brie and Dave Franco made a horror movie together.

Neon has dropped a teaser for Together, director Michael Shanks’ upcoming psychological horror about a married couple (Alison Brie and Dave Franco) whose plan to start new lives out in the countryside takes a supernatural turn after they encounter a malevolent presence. The trailer (and title) makes it seem like the pair’s relationship might be the real issue at hand, but we won’t know for sure until the film’s out on August 1st.

Ballerina’s latest trailer is an elaborate John Wick delivery system.

The first Ballerina trailer made it seem like John Wick might just show up for a quick trailer, but it’s looking more and more like the spin-off will feature a full-on brawl between Keanu Reeves and Ana de Armas when it hits theaters on June 6th.

Apple’s F1 movie races into theaters this summer.

F1 has a new trailer out that makes it seem, you know, like a movie about dudes driving around in circles. The film centers on Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt), a retired driver whose F1 team-owning friend Ruben (Javier Bardem) pulls him back onto the track to mentor up-and-coming racer Joshua “Noah” Pearce (Damson Idris). It hits theaters on June 27th before it winds up on Apple TV Plus at some point in the future.

“Thanks, Chuck.”

The first trailer for The Life of Chuck — an adaptation of a Stephen King short story from Haunting of Hill House creator Mike Flanagan — doesn’t show much, but it does a good job at teasing heartwarming post-apocalyptic ghost story (you read that right). The film hits theaters in the summer, but if you’re curious, here’s my review from TIFF last year.

Apple TV Plus is putting Government Cheese on the menu.

In Government Cheese, Apple’s new comedy co-created by Paul Hunter and Aeysha Carr, an unusual family living in late ‘60s San Francisco find their lives turned upside down when the head of the house (David Oyelowo) is freed from a stint in prison.

Hampton Chambers (Oyelowo) has a plan to make it big after he invents a new kind of self-sharpening drill, but the process of making his dreams real winds up being more convoluted than he could anticipate. The show debuts April 16th.

The CW actually made a trailer for its canceled Powerpuff Girls reboot.

The CW canceled its live-action Powerpuff Girls adaptation starring Chloe Bennet as Blossom, Dove Cameron, as Bubbles, and Yana Perrault as Buttercup before the series ever got a chance to air. Behind-the-scenes set photos have been floating around on the internet for years, but a full-on trailer showcasing what could have been was posted to YouTube on Thursday by Lost Media Busters.

Update: The trailer has been yanked from YouTube and The Internet Archive, while currently there is still a snippet on Bluesky.

There’s a new Suikoden coming.

To mobile. In preparation for the release of the Suikoden I & II HD remasters launching on March 6th, Konami held a livestream event complete with a live orchestra performance guaranteed to put fans in all of their feelings.

And while fans of the classic JRPG series are excited about an anime adaptation coming for Suikoden II, they are far less enthused by the news that, Suikoden Star Leap, the first new, mainline entry in the series in almost 20 years will be a gacha game.

Forza’s on PS5’s horizon.

Xbox’s been hard at work bringing its exclusives to the PS5. There was Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, and Sea of Thieves to start, but now it’s targeting bigger releases like Indiana Jones and The Great Circle and Forza Horizon 5. Microsoft announced that it was targeting Spring of 2025 for the beautiful racing game’s release and now we have a confirmed date: April 29th. You can even pre-order the game to get early access starting April 25th.

Let the hunt begin.

Well, almost. Monster Hunter Wilds, a game that streamlines the monster hunting formula while adding a healthy dose of spectacle, launches tomorrow on the PS5, Xbox, and PC. For now, you can check out my review or watch this new story trailer.

Another big RPG on the way.

If Avowed and Monster Hunter Wilds haven’t taken up all of your time, the remaster of Xenoblade Chronicles X is coming to the Switch on March 20th. It may be a decade old, but its sci-fi world is still a huge and wondrous place to explore — and you can get a deeper look at it in this new overview video from Nintendo.

Can you tell me how to get to Fear Street?

Netflix’s slasher franchise continues, this time with the spinoff Prom Queen. While it may not be as inventive as a three-part movie event, the first teaser does look it could still be fun. It starts streaming way ahead of Halloween, too, with a May 23rd premiere date.

Oh yes, wait a minute, Mr. Postmon.

Though this year’s Pokémon Day will be full of announcements about the franchise’s upcoming games, it will also feature the debut of Dragonite and the Postal Worker, a new animated short produced by CoMix Wave Films — the studio behind director Makoto Shinkai‘s Suzume, Weathering With You, and Your Name.

A new trailer for the short — out on YouTube February 27th 12 AM JST — makes it look like it’s going to be a gorgeous reminder that there’s more to the Pokémon world than battling.

Look who’s talking now.

Danny and Michael Philippou, the directors behind the breakout horror hit Talk To Me, are finally ready to show what they having coming next. Well, they’re teasing it. The brief trailer for Bring Her Back doesn’t show all that much, but it certainly sets a mood. As does the premise: “a brother and sister uncover a terrifying ritual at the secluded home of their new foster mother.” The movie hits theaters on May 30th.

This is like, the 70th night at Freddy’s.

There were sister locations, help was wanted (a couple of times), then there was a security breach. Now the next calamity in the Five Nights at Freddy’s series involves mimics. During the PlayStation State of Play presentation, Steel Wool Productions showed off a first look at gameplay for Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic. Find those mimics and dodge murderous animatronics for minimum wage when Secret of the Mimic launches June 13th.

The live-action How to Train Your Dragon could have made a great cartoon.

DreamWorks’ plan to make a live-action How to Train Your Dragon adaptation has never sounded like a great idea, and the movie’s new trailer really makes it seem like the studio might have been better off keeping this franchise strictly animated. The film hits theaters on June 13th.

What we do as shadows.

It has been a good long while since Marvel debuted a villain with some real pizzaz to them, but the shots of Thunderbolts’ big bad turning people into shadows in the movie’s latest trailer looks promising as hell.
