Fortnite is the biggest game in the world, and it keeps on growing. After starting out on PC, Fortnite has moved to PS4, Xbox, and the iPhone, and had a crossover event with the Avengers. The battle royale game even counts Drake as a fan.
Outfits for the original trilogy’s trio of heroes are now available in the popular shooter’s item shop. It’s the latest in a long line of Star Wars collaborations to have come to Fortnite, which have previously included playable characters from the sequel trilogy as well as lightsabers (which are also included as part of this week’s feature drop).
Epic just released the latest season of Fortnite, which adds new locations, weapons, and a character played by Brie Larson. Perhaps the most notable thing, though, is a traversal mechanic where players can swim across the island as a glob of liquid metal. It feels a lot like Splatoon. Coincidentally, Nintendo released Splatoon 3 earlier this month. Now we just need the squid kids in Fortnite.
Capital letters in a Twitter thread spell out the word CHROME. Some teaser images show hands reaching out from under the weird goop, including one that could be Gwen Stacy from Spider-Man. (Perhaps she’ll be a battle pass skin?) Epic even made a strange TikTok video where the goop consumes a cereal box. The new season, titled Paradise, kicks off on September 18th.
