BlackBerry announces US availability for the Motion and a bronze-colored KeyOne

Last year at CES, BlackBerry unveiled the phone that would eventually become the KeyOne, the first smartphone released under the new management of TCL, which bought the rights to the company.

And while BlackBerry didn’t have any news about a follow-up for its flagship model at CES this year, the company did come with a pair of smaller announcements: US availability for the full touchscreen BlackBerry Motion, which was announced back in October, and a new bronze color for the KeyOne.

The Motion is set to hit the US as a GSM unlocked phone on January 12th, sold online through Amazon and Best Buy for $449.99. Spec wise, you’re getting a 5.5-inch display, a Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 4,000mAh battery that BlackBerry notes is the largest ever put in a BlackBerry device. It still runs Nougat for now, but BlackBerry is promising an update to Oreo sometime this year.

The BlackBerry KeyOne Bronze Edition is a new colorway for the KeyOne, similar to the black model that the company released in October, which also has 4GB of memory and 64GB of internal storage. There is one new addition, in the form of dual SIM support. The KeyOne Bronze Edition is set to come out sometime in Q1 2018 in “select markets across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.”
