Motorola’s Moto X line is back. Android Authority reports today that the lineup, which hasn’t seen a new phone since 2015, will definitely be updated this year with a new device called the Moto X4. We thought this might be the case when a photo leaked last month. Android Authority says an anonymous source provided all the phone’s specs.
The next Moto X reportedly has a glass back, dual cameras, and midrange specs

This is what the source says we can expect:
- 5.2-inch full HD display
- Snapdragon 630 processor
- 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage in North America, Latin America, and Europe; 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage in Asia Pacific region
- Front fingerprint sensor
- 16-megapixel front-facing camera that can shoot 4K video; dual rear-facing cameras including a 12-megapixel sensor with dual autofocus and an 8-megapixel, ultra-wide sensor
- 3,000mAh battery
- Available in black or blue
Looks-wise, the phone will have a glass back, which appears to be extra shiny. Obviously, renders are made to catch your eye, but this phone looks particularly nice. The device isn’t modular, like the Moto Z line, and we aren’t sure when it’ll actually be announced. Still, here it is: the resurrection of the Moto X.
