Anthropic is making the security tools it’s used with Claude Mythos Preview just a bit more available.

Upon request, “qualifying” customers can use things like skills, a Claude harness, and a threat model builder, Anthropic says as part of a bigger update about Project Glasswing.

Anthropic also plans to expand Project Glassing to “additional partners” and has published a dashboard of open source vulnerabilities disclosed by Mythos Preview.

I’m a sucker for anime-inspired keyboards, and I don’t care.

A new Ghost in the Shell anime is coming soon, and Iqunix is making a mechanical keyboard inspired by the famed franchise. TechPowerUp indicates there will be two colorful boards based on the Iqunix EV63, each with some translucent cyberpunk-y flair.

It looks fitting for a special kind of hacker.

Google says it hasn’t cut off updates for most old Chromecasts.

9to5Google reported Friday morning that a Nest support page had been updated to say that nearly all Chromecast devices except for the most recent one that was released in 2022 were no longer receiving critical security updates. Later, the page changed back and once again shows all Chromecasts except the 1st gen version are still getting critical updates.

Now, Google Home senior product manager Sahana Mysore tells The Verge that “A support article update incorrectly indicated deprecation of software support for legacy Chromecast devices,” and the current version is accurate.

Update: Added response from Google.

Who doesn’t love a little genteel cronyism?

San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie has been known for banning “visible homelessness” — moving tents off the street and dropping more people in jail since he hasn’t expanded the homeless shelters like he promised he would in his campaign. I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that his brother is a real estate broker who services the tech elite, and that their home valuations are skyrocketing. Alexander “Lurie estimates that by the end of May, he’ll have sold more than $100 million worth of real estate, about his entire total for all of 2025, which was, to be clear, a very good year itself.“

The Texas AG is suing Meta and WhatsApp.

Paxton alleges that Meta can access WhatsApp messages despite Meta’s claims that they are end-to-end encrypted. Meta spokesperson Andy Stone says that WhatsApp “cannot access people’s encrypted communications and any suggestion to the contrary is false.”

It’s been a busy couple days for Paxton; my colleague Lauren Feiner just posted about a lawsuit he filed against Discord.

The Konkr Pocket Block will be a budget-friendly Game Boy from Ayaneo.

We don’t yet know how much it will cost, but during a livestream yesterday with CEO Arthur Zhang, Ayaneo announced a new vertical-style handheld coming to its Konkr sub-brand. The Pocket Block’s tech specs aren’t known either, but without a thumbstick it will potentially compete with devices like the Anbernic RG35XX.

If you buy something from a Verge link, Vox Media may earn a commission. See our ethics statement.

An early hands on demonstrates one of the best feature of Insta360’s DJI Pocket rival.

The Insta360 Luna is already available for preorder in China, but a new hands on video reveals a feature you won’t find on DJI’s. The controls and rotating screen on the front of the Luna and dual-lens Luna Ultra are removable, becoming a wireless remote that even has a built-in microphone.

Google has taken a side in the Spotify disco ball debate.

Pixel users can now AI-generate disco ball-style icons for their entire phone. Haters, shield your eyes.

Someone is building a real life version of Windows’ Space Cadet pinball game.

Originally released in a collection called Full Tilt! Pinball, Space Cadet was later bundled with several versions of Windows right up until XP. It was an excellent time-wasting alternative to Solitaire, but I’d much rather play the IRL version that Daniel McKenzie is in the process of building.
