McDonald’s and Lenovo made a french fries-shaped mouse from recycled Happy Meal toys.

The mouse features a rechargeable battery, three DPI presets, Bluetooth or 2.4Ghz wireless connectivity, a carrying case that unzips into a mouse pad, and its housing is made from 60 percent recycled plastic sourced from returned Happy Meal toys. Unfortunately just 4,000 of them were made and only sold in China last week. To the eBay!

Last week Substack announced an early access program for dynamic sponsorship placements, with programmatic ads coming “soon.” Smaller rival Beehiiv followed up yesterday, though has both types of audio ad ready to use right now.

SK Hynix says memory shortages will last through 2030.

It’s a time frame the company has suggested before. It says a “virtuous cycle” (well, virtuous for memory manufacturers at least) is seeing AI productivity gains lead to increased demand, maintaining pressure on supply even as SK Hynix ramps up production. It’s already signed agreements to sell more than half the RAM it’ll produce through 2028.
