Open source tech creators Diolinux have released a free patch that rearranges the Gimp UI to resemble Adobe’s Photoshop editing software. That familiar layout should make it easier for long-time Photoshop users to make the switch. Installation instructions for Linux and Windows are available on GitHub.
The deal is valued at $100 million according to Puck, and would add a US-based brand to Shein’s portfolio after President Trump ended the de minimis exemption on cheap imported goods. If true, that’s a notable pivot for Everlane, which until now has built its brand around sustainability.
Digital Foundry put the $600 laptop through some benchmarks and came away underwhelmed. It was possible to get a playable 30FPS out of Control and Death Stranding with quality dialed back.
