A new government website lets you report platforms that fail to remove nonconsensual images in 48 hours.

The Federal Trade Commission launched a new website for consumers to report alleged failures to comply with the Take It Down Act, which went into full force today. Critics fear the law will be used to censor online speech, but the website also has resources for domestic violence survivors.

Petcube says it only uses hardware from China’s Meari.

On May 11th, I told you how a million baby monitors and security cameras were easily viewable by hackers due to the poor security in Meari’s cloud and app. Petcube says today that it uses camera hardware from Meari but not any of the company’s software, cloud services, or APIs.

Apple’s new hardware chief Johny Srouji is rearranging his org chart.

The changes are intended to help Apple’s chip teams work better with its product teams, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Srouji got chief hardware officer job after former SVP of hardware engineering John Ternus was tapped to succeed Tim Cook as CEO.

Apple Sports adds more countries and features ahead of the World Cup.

Apple’s dedicated sports app (where betting odds may be on by default until you turn them off) has expanded to 90 new markets. Apple also says that new features include a tournament bracket view for the World Cup stages, visual formations of each starting lineup, and one-tap links to Apple News coverage.
