Lionsgate parted ways with marketing consultant Eddie Egan, who was in charge of the materials for the Megalopolis trailer that was recently pulled after quotes used for it were found to have been fabricated, reported Deadline.
An investigation found that the made-up snippets, purported to be from reviews panning director Francis Ford Coppola’s past work, were indeed AI-generated, as many suspected, the outlet writes.
