Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama has died, aged 68.
Toriyama is recognized internationally for Dragon Ball — one of the best-selling manga series of all time, which ran from 1984 to 1995 — alongside his work as a character designer for Chrono Trigger and the Dragon Quest video game franchise.
Other legendary manga artists like Eiichiro Oda (One Piece) and Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto) have paid their respects via an obituary published by Shonen Jump.
