Goodbye robot.
California-based Neato Robotics, makers of distinctive D-shaped robot vacuums, is shutting down.
Parent company Vorwerk Group cited “failure to meet economic goals” for the closure, while simultaneously announcing the launch of its Robotics Competence Center in Germany, where it plans to develop ... robot vacuums.
The good news for current Neato owners is that cloud service and support will continue for five years.
