Nintendo’s SNES Classic mini console, which comes with a more vibrant system and controller color scheme in Europe, is now up for preorder on Amazon’s UK storefront. The page, which says the product is sold by Amazon EU S.a.r.L. (the company’s official European trading name), appears to have gone live sometime in the last hour.

Pricing is listed on the page as £79.99 ($101.76), but the final amount with shipping mysteriously comes out to around £71.61 ($91.10). Amazon is limiting purchase quantities to one unit per account, but it specifically says it will not ship to the US.
Still, it’s a bit up in the air whether North American customers can actually buy this version. Going through the process with a US shipping address doesn’t raise any red flags on Amazon’s end, even after you complete the preorder purchase. However, this could simply mean that when September 29th rolls around, Amazon could cancel your order and refund your money.
For those eager to get their hands on a system at all costs, even if it means fruitlessly placing a UK preorder with an international shipping address, this looks like a potentially viable option.
