Apple Music now has 17 million subscribers, CEO Tim Cook announced at the company’s iPhone event this afternoon. The company last announced that its music streaming service had 15 million subscribers back in June.

It’s been a little over a year since Apple Music first launched, and while it has shown consistent growth during that time, it still trails far behind Spotify’s 30 million subscribers. The service’s main draw is probably its exclusives — just last month Frank Ocean made his long-awaited album Blonde an Apple Music exclusive, and it’s still not available on Spotify.
Still, Apple Music’s slow growth is proof that users aren’t eager to switch streaming services, even for exclusives.
