We’ve known that Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett will be headlining the upcoming Ocean’s Eleven spinoff now titled Ocean’s Ocho. Now, Deadline is reporting that Warner Bros. is close to signing up a stellar cast that will include Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, and Awkwafina.
Warner Bros. unveils a spectacular lineup for Ocean’s Ocho

That number only brings us up to seven of the eight implied by the film’s title, and Deadline notes that there’s some ongoing talks for some of actors from the prior films to come in for cameo roles.
The cast that’s coming together for this new film is spectacular: Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, and Anne Hathaway are each heavyweights in their own right. The film will reportedly be an “extension and a continuation” of the first three films, with Bullock leading a team to pull off a major heist.
The film is set to begin production in October, with Gary Ross (Seabiscuit, The Hunger Games) set to direct. Steven Soderbergh, who directed Ocean’s Eleven, Twelve, and Thirteen, will be producing the film.
