DiCaprio’s role in the film was intense and physically demanding, two character traits that meant buzz around a potential Globes win started building almost as soon as the movie came out. During his acceptance speech, DiCaprio thanked his friends (“You know who you are”) and “all the indigenous communities around the world.”
