The next time you log into Twitch you’ll need to change your password. The streaming service published a notice today informing users that “there may have been unauthorized access to some Twitch user account information,” and as a result Twitch has reset user passwords, meaning you’ll need to create a new one the next time you use the site. Unfortunately, there aren’t really any other details beyond that — the company says simply that “we will communicate directly with affected users with additional details.” Twitch, which was acquired by Amazon last summer, has recently expanded beyond video games into live music, and has become so popular that even Valve has integrated similar streaming functionality into its Steam service.
