If modern Pokemon games are too complicated for you, there’s good news: Nintendo is bringing the original Game Boy games to the 3DS as digital downloads. Starting February 27th, you’ll be able to purchase Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow on your handheld through the 3DS’ Virtual Console. The games will be largely the same as you remember them from 1996, but with one important update — you’ll be able to use the handheld’s wireless feature to trade pokemon with friends. No more fussing with a Game Boy link cable.
