Even iconic superheroes need to update their wardrobes from time to time (remember Batman Forever’s infamous nipples?). Andrew Garfield’s interpretation of Peter Parker is getting a facelift for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and costume designer Deborah Lynn Scott spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the updates. Most notably, Parker will have access to an MP3 player built into his suit — saving the world is always a little easier with the right playlist, it seems — and it’ll be controllable through the web shooter on his wrist. Whether that means he’s using gesture control to flip from track to track or he just has a standard remote control sewn into the costume is unclear, but we’ve got almost a full year to speculate: the sequel hits in May of 2014.
