Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom has just taken the stage at a Facebook event today and shared some details on the photo-sharing service’s user engagement. The service now has 130 million active monthly users, up from the 40 million users that the service had when it launched on Android last April. Systrom also said that Instagram users have shared over 16 billion pictures since it launched about two and a half years ago, and its users register 1 billion “likes” every day. Of course, that’s not enough for Instagram — the company hopes it’ll increase engagement even more with its brand-new video sharing feature.
