LG’s G Pad 8.3 tablet is going on sale in the US today for $349.99. The G Pad 8.3 is a small, well-built Android tablet sized perfectly to compete with the iPad mini, but when it was first announced back in early September, LG wasn’t ready to disclose exactly when it would ship or at what price. And now that those details are known, its price may be a sticking point for buyers: for that price, you can get either the iPad mini or the Nexus 7 — two exceptional tablets — for less.

LG says that its new tablet will be available at Best Buy's website today, and starting November 3rd, in Best Buy's retail stores as well. Aside from having an 8.3-inch display, which it's ostensibly named after, the G Pad 8.3 also has a fairly slim build, coming in at just 8.3mm thick. It's running on Android 4.2.2, has a Snapdragon 600 processor, and a display resolution of 1920 x 1200. It's hard to argue that it's not a nice looking tablet, but there's a lot of great options right beside it too.
