Not content with redefining what we mean by high definition in portable displays, LG Display is also breaking new ground on the desktop front by introducing a new 30-inch screen featuring the new hotness 4K resolution. That results in a pixel density of 153ppi — which might not sound fantastic by the standards of 5-inch 1080p phones, but is quite remarkable for a 30-inch panel. LG Display is pitching this as a professional monitor, probably because professional applications are likeliest to benefit from the luxurious 4096 x 2160 res, but it’s hard not to want one of these in your living room or home office.
