TmoNews reports that T-Mobile CTO Neville Ray mentioned during an investor conference today that the carrier could deploy LTE in Las Vegas — the city where CES is currently underway — within “two to three weeks.” If that means that it’ll be commercially available to subscribers, that’s huge news — though T-Mobile has been testing LTE for some time, no markets are currently live.
T-Mobile may launch LTE in Las Vegas this month

Ray is widely expected to talk about the company’s ambitious plans for LTE deployment in 2013 at a CES press conference this afternoon, and it’s possible that a Vegas launch could factor into that. A T-Mobile spokesperson declined to comment.
