The official Gmail client for iOS has been updated today with support for Notification Center, meaning you can now configure the app to display banners, alerts, and lock screen previews of your latest emails. Google has also enabled persistent logins within the app, promising that sessions will no longer expire and users won’t need to frequently enter account credentials to access their inbox. The latest update also supports Gmail’s “send-as” feature, letting you choose an alternate sender according to your email settings. Head to the iTunes App Store on PC / Mac or your iOS device of choice to download the new version.
