The bar is back! Just two months after replacing its persistent navigation bar with a mouse-over menu, Google has returned to a solid black bar at the top of the screen that contains links to services like Google+, maps, YouTube, and Gmail. It’s almost entirely the same as before, though with the unified search and Google+ sharing features that were introduced alongside the mouse-over menu in November. Google didn’t specify why the changes were made, stating only that the “new design” was introduced based on user feedback. The revised Google bar will be rolling out to users over the next few weeks.
