Less Raum — a small Windows-only title that's available for free — is a game that’s decidedly rooted in the past, offering no semblance of a plot, retro graphics, and the bare minimum instructions needed to play. There is at least a general premise: you take control of a nameless character, travelling from platform to platform in your spacecraft while collecting dubious items along the way. Meters on the sides of the screen will slowly fill up when items are collected, all while the fuel gauge at the bottom depletes as you make further trips in your vessel. Additional clues and events unfold as you continue playing — you might be captured by what looks to be the police, for instance — but you’ll never be quite sure of what Less Raum will serve up next.
