It’s not likely to match last week’s stratosphere jump by Felix Baumgartner in terms of wow factor, but tonight’s Orionid meteor shower is still a spectacle that shouldn’t be missed. To get the best view of the Orionids as they fly by, you’ll want to look upwards starting around 9PM PST / 11PM EST. Thankfully NASA is stepping in to help those in cities and other locales where it’s tough to get a good look at the night show. A three-hour live stream should provide ample opportunity to experience the event firsthand. And to prevent you from watching in dead silence, astronomer Mitzi Adams will be fielding viewer questions during the broadcast.
