There’s no telling how many Android tablets will be announced next week at CES 2012, but you’ve got to hand it to Acer for trying to get ahead of the game. While already announced overseas, the 10.1-inch, 8GB Iconia Tab A200 will be heading stateside on January 15th for $329.99. The 16GB version will cost $349.99. Both models will be launching with Android 3.2 Honeycomb, but Acer is promising that there will be a Android 4.0 update available in mid-February here in the US. (Were not sure if that changes the European January ICS update we heard a few weeks ago.) Other than those details, the tablet is by and large the same as the one announced in Europe and Asia: it has an Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 1280 x 800 resolution display, a 2-megapixel front facing cam and a 5-megapixel rear shooter. Expect some hands-on pictures and impressions of the A200 next week as well as many, many more tablet announcements to confuse your buying decision.
