If PocketNow’s latest intelligence is accurate, LG’s preparing a monster of a phone — the X3 (pictured above) is rumored to include a quad-core Tegra 3 processor along with a 4.7-inch 720p display. The X3 also is reported to feature dual cameras (8MP on the back, 1.3MP up front), 16GB of storage plus a microSD slot, and it should launch with Ice Cream Sandwich on board — this despite the fact that the device includes 3 capacitive buttons rather than the software buttons featured in the new OS. There’s no word on official availability or carrier, though the X3 is claimed to include a 21Mbps HSPA radio, which would rule out Sprint and Verizon stateside. Unfortunately, it sounds like this phone won’t be launched until closer to summertime, at which point it could see some quad-core competition from Fujitsu’s Tegra 3 phone.
