Our biggest issue with the Motorola Droid Xyboard isn’t the lack of memory expansion, terrible button placement, or the terrible name — it’s the price. Verizon has made a little change on that front by cutting the two-year contract price of both the 8-inch and 10-inch Xyboard models by $50. These prices are effective now, but there’s no indication on whether this is a permanent price cut or a temporary sale. It’s a good start, but $479.99 for the 10-inch Xyboard on a two-year contract still strikes us as overpriced. Unfortunately, if you’re hoping to get a deal on a commitment-free Xyboard, we have some bad news: the 8- and 10-inch models still start at $599.99 and $699.99 if you go month-to-month.
