Apple’s iPad 2 Smart Covers got a few subtle changes yesterday — the microfiber inside now matches the outside color instead of being just gray, and a dark gray polyurethane cover has been added to the lineup. Orange has apparently been discontinued, which is unfortunate given the time of year, but you can still find it on Amazon. Also, the navy leather cover is now slightly “more navy,” sources told MacRumors (scandal!), and Apple says the polyurethane colors are more vibrant. Prices remain the same at $39.00 for polyurethane and $59.00 for leather. The changes may not be enough to get current owners to run out and upgrade, but if you’ve been waiting for the right time to get a Smart Cover, it’s now.
