Sony's bet a lot on 3D, but spending a couple grand on a new TV and hundrerds of dollars on glasses for an experience that hasn't quite caught on is a tough pill to swallow for most gamers. Enter Sony's PlayStation 3D Display, a 24-inch 1080p screen, which includes a pair of 3D glasses, an HDMI cable, and a copy of MotorStorm Apocalypse in its $499 pricetag. Sony just announced the screen will be available "widely" on November 13th, which means 3D is about to get a lot more mainstream -- or maybe just fall flat on its face. In addition to 3D games and movies, the display offers "SimulView" side-by-side viewing, allowing you to play co-op or competively with a roomie without messing up your screen ratio or falling prey to screen-looking. Of course, you'll need an extra pair of glasses, which go for $69.99. The SimulView library is small but growing, including MotorStorm, Gran Turismo 5, Killzone 3, and Super Stardust HD.
