Matias Duarte asked “how do we make Android enchanting?” Aside from the new Roboto typeface, we would like to suggest that the near-instant talk-to-type has a magic unto itself. Of all of Ice Cream Sandwich’s latest and greatest tricks, this one will probably end up being more underrated than it deserves. But oh, what fun we’ll have with it nonetheless. Even the terms “question mark, smiley face” were recognized and converted to text by ICS, which makes us wonder: what it would make of “pffft?”
