HTC has just announced that its CEO Peter Chou will be holding a live teleconference from Los Angeles at 8:30AM PT / 11:30AM ET tomorrow. The company’s disclosure doesn’t stretch much further than that -- there’s no hint as to the content of the “major” announcement that Peter will be delivering -- but you can follow events as they unfold in our upcoming live blog.

Update: HTC couldn’t keep its big news under wraps until the formal event: the company has announced it is investing $300 million into Beats Audio, which will guarantee it an exclusive to the sound technology among smartphone vendors. Our live blog is, therefore, no longer necessary, but we’ll tune in to Peter Chou’s presentation anyway -- just in case he has a little something extra to tell us.
