Remember when we told you those other Android Honeycomb tablets were going to geta helping of 3.1 in early June? Well get ready! Sources have told us that Asus will be releasing its over-the-air update early next week. The fresh Honeycomb release will bring all those features and stability improvements we saw on the Xoom, but will also include a docking station firmware update, which will improve typing speeds, mouse tracking and USB compatibility. That’s all we know for now, but we’d advise all Transformer owners to start searching for updates as early as Monday.
Asus Eee Pad Transformer to get Honeycomb 3.1 early next week, lots of new friends at Computex

But that doesn’t seem to be all that’s coming from Asus next week. Computex kicks off Monday in Taipei, and as usual, the company is dreaming big for its hometown show. It keeps teasing some sort of phone / tablet hybrid on its Facebook page and Engadget reports that it may be called the Padphone, since Asus filed for the trademark just four days ago. On top of that, it’s rumored to announce an Eee PC “with a twist.” Sounds like some crazy products are in store for what’s ultimately going to be one crazy week!
